What ThePawcess is (and isn't)

ThePawcess is an educational tracking tool that helps you run a vet-guided food elimination trial for your dog: logging meals and symptoms, checking foods and treats, and producing a report you can hand to your veterinarian.

ThePawcess is NOT a veterinary service. Nothing on this site — including AI-generated guidance — is a diagnosis, treatment advice, or a substitute for a licensed veterinarian. If your dog is unwell, contact your vet. If it's urgent, contact an emergency clinic immediately, whatever our tools say.

Your account

You need a free account to use the AI-powered features. Keep your login details to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be 18 or older (or have a guardian's consent) to create an account.

We can suspend accounts that abuse the service — automated scraping, attempting to overload the AI endpoints, or reselling access.

Purchases & refunds

Paid products — the one-time Complete Trial Pass (per dog) and the optional Food Passport subscription — are processed securely by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us, and Stripe emails your receipt. Stripe's terms also apply to the transaction.

The Pass is a one-time purchase and never auto-enrolls you in a subscription. The Food Passport can be cancelled anytime and stops billing at the end of the paid period.

If the Pass isn't right for you, contact us at [email protected] — we'd rather make it right than keep a payment from an unhappy owner.

AI features

AI features (flare-up guidance, food checks, log parsing, reports) are generated by large language models. They can be wrong. They are designed to organise information and defer to your vet — never to diagnose. Free accounts and the Pass include a metered number of AI checks; re-checking a food you already checked is free.

Photos you submit are sent securely to our AI provider to be analysed and are not used to train models. We don't keep the photo after the analysis unless you save it to your trial log.

Your content & our content

Your trial data belongs to you. You can export it, and you can ask us to delete it (see the Privacy Policy).

Everything else on the site — text, illustrations, guides, the app itself — belongs to ThePawcess and can't be copied or republished without permission.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, ThePawcess is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is significant, we'll note it on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use ThePawcess after a change means you accept it.
